Oh boy, we're starting from zero here!

Alright. So! Sound. It's a thing, we're utilizing it right now. We can hear each other cuz of soundwaves. Think of it like water, you drop a rock into water and it ripples out around through the water. Sound works the same way, it's ripples in the air that we perceive as noises. You got that?

Yeah we'll get to lasers later, one fancy high tech explanation at a time.

Okay yeah that's a whole other thing! But the short answer is yeah, strong enough sound ya can feel.

TV works kinda the same. It uses wave technology to send images and sound. They're broadcast from somewhere and the tv receives the transmission and translates it back into a picture and sound.

Indeed. As I mentioned, there is a spell from my plane in which a loud sound like a thunderclap issues forth and those surrounding the source are hit by percussive force. The name of it makes me wonder if wizards have learnt of the wave shape of sound and just not bothered to tell the rest of us. I would not be surprised if this were so.

And does 'radio' then work like tv does, but for sound only?
